Donor Center Technician

• Conduct pre-donation medical screening
• Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
• Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
• Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
• Ensure all donor screening information is complete
• Ensure donor confidentiality
• Work in a plasma center while following oral and written instructions
• Handle biological fluids and laboratory and office equipment using required personal protective equipment

• Superior customer service standards
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Interest in making a difference in the world
• Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
• Patient, able to handle multiple tasks, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
• Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
• Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity essential
• Color perception/discrimination
• Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
• Ability to work sitting or standing for an entire shift, bend, and twist the neck and waist
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in exposure-prone environments, including biological fluids and temperatures below 32°F

Demonstrates expertise in conducting pre-donation medical screenings and ensuring donor confidentiality while providing superior customer service. Capable of handling biological fluids and operating laboratory equipment in compliance with safety standards.
