The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist uses their lived experience in recovery to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals working toward their recovery goals. Working alongside clinical and behavioral health professionals, this role offers peer-based support from the perspective of someone with firsthand experience. The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist helps patients connect with community resources and recovery services that support long-term success.
This position engages patients by providing reassurance, reducing fears, answering questions, fostering motivation, and instilling hope. Through education, empowerment, encouragement, and support for positive change, the Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist plays a key role in patient engagement and retention throughout the recovery process.
Pay:$19 - $20 / hour
