Process Technician

Overview

Entry Level $23.46 with training and progression to $36.59. Rotating 12‑hour shift schedule. Benefits Day One: medical, free dental, 401(k) match, pension, and more.

• Extracts and crystallizes sugar from sugar beets.
• Operates factory processing equipment and mobile equipment.
• Performs pilot lab sampling and analysis.
• Performs manual labor.
• Coordinates with supervisors to ensure production equipment is properly configured and set up for desired processing rates and quality standards.
• Performs mechanical inspections and adjustments, including troubleshooting to maintain optimum operating conditions.
• Can become proficient in multiple functional areas through the Process Technician Specialized Training Program.

• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English to comprehend and interpret technical literature.
• Must be able to use common tools.
• Must have demonstrated ability in basic computer skills.

• Daily activities include standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing.
• Required to lift assorted items up to 50 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must wear personal protective equipment, beard and hairnets, and appropriate clothing.
• Candidate will be required to submit to and successfully pass a safety screen that evaluates the ability to safely execute the duties and tasks defined for this position.

Compensation Range: $22.73 – $36.59 per hour.
