As an employee of Churches United, you will benefit from a nonprofit culture that offers above‑average compensation, comprehensive benefits, ongoing professional development, and a supportive work environment.

ABOUT

US

Churches United is one of the largest and most effective providers of shelter and connection to supportive services in the Fargo‑Moorhead area. Since 1987, our mission has been to provide shelter, interim housing, and supportive services that help homeless families and individuals rapidly return to stable housing and long‑term self‑sufficiency. Our model combines a safe, clean shelter with intensive supportive services that promote dignity and autonomy.

We operate over five sites in the FM area, one of which houses single men, women, families, and veterans under one roof.

Our staff are dedicated to serving the community. Diverse in background, outlook, and experience, our team addresses important social issues with passion and creativity. We foster personal growth through ongoing investment in professional development and encourage collaboration and innovation. Together, we are committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and helping guests achieve long‑term self‑sufficiency.

Our Approach

There is no single cause of family or youth homelessness, and no single way that interpersonal violence affects people. Most guests are impacted by diverse traumas. Churches United services are available to all who need help, ensuring that people receive the right support to move forward. By addressing broad and comprehensive needs, we help men, women, and children build on their strengths for a brighter future.
