Position: Universal Worker/CNA - Part-Time PM Shift (2p-10:30p)

Job Details

Eventide Linden Senior Living is currently seeking a Part-Time Universal Worker/CNA to work the PM shift (2p-10:30p); 40 hours per Pay Period. The position includes an every other weekend and holiday rotation and is located in our Assisted Living facility in the Memory Care unit.

Pay:
Receive $2 an hour evening shift differential added to the base wage. Estimated pay range $18-$20.16 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available.

Responsibilities
  • Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
  • Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self-administered. May give oral and trans-dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
  • Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
  • Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
  • Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
  • Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
  • Socializes with tenants. Listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
  • Gives guidance, redirection, and re-orientation to tenants as needed.
  • Develops rapport with tenants and families to understand their needs and interests.
  • Documents in tenant records as instructed and promptly.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and review of the tenant’s plan of care.
  • Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior, and/or general appearance to the nurse.
  • Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
  • Promptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential vulnerable adult reports to a supervisor.
  • Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
  • Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
  • Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
  • Re-stocks supplies as needed.
  • Assists with serving meals in the dining room.
  • Performs pet care per policy.
Qualifications
  • Must have a current MN CNA license or be able to obtain upon hire.
