Tire Technician - Fargo​/Moorhead

About the Position

As a Fairchild Tire Technician, you will travel throughout the Fairchild Northern Market servicing Fairchild customers by dismounting and mounting all types of tires. We work on LP, diesel and electric forklifts, scissor, and boom lifts and much more. This position is provided with a company owned/leased vehicle and requires a valid driver’s license. The role requires a 40‑hour work week with flexible scheduling, allowing the employee to determine work shift for daily and weekly hours while prioritizing customer needs.

• Plan and coordinate daily/weekly work schedule by priority of work orders, ensuring customers remain a priority.
• Operate a mobile tire truck, abiding by DOT rules and regulations, and drive to various customer job sites to install tires.
• Practice standard safety protocols when removing, rolling, and positioning tires on the press.
• Adjust, set up, and operate the tire press to press tires and hubs together and assemble other components per specifications.
• Dismount and mount tires of different types; remove lugs or fasteners from wheels and/or rims and remove tire assembly.
• Assist with loading and unloading tires.
• Communicate with customers about when and where equipment is to be taken out of service to install new tires.
• Inform customer work is complete and have customer sign paperwork after verifying all information correctly.
• Maintain and keep records of inventory levels for the warehouse in the mobile tire truck.
• Monitor and track scheduled maintenance intervals and send the truck in for maintenance.
• Adequately clean and maintain service equipment, mobile truck, and warehouse.
• Participate in job‑related training, including supporting the safety program and its policies and procedures.
• Show willingness to take on additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the Service Manager.

• Class B CDL is required.

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

• Pay: $21–$36 an hour.
