Clay County is accepting applications to be considered for an open position as a Full-Time Juvenile Detention Worker in the secure detention unit with the West Central Regional Juvenile Center. Only female applicants that are currently employed at the Juvenile Detention Center will be considered for this position.

Non-exempt | Shifts are overnights, rotating weekends and rotating holidays
Starting salary is $26.50 per hour | Full salary range for the position is $26.50-$36.91 per hour.

Minimum requirements:
- One-year certificate from college or a technical school or (60 credits or more)
- 3-6 months experience working with at-risk population.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be female
- Must be a current employee at the Juvenile Detention Center
- Must successfully complete a background investigation

Criminal history and/or driver's license checks will be conducted for all positions within the Law Enforcement and other relevant County positions.
Duties and essential functions:
- Provides supervision and ensures the safety and security of clients.
- Assists in the supervision of mandated programming for residents
- Complete intakes of all new admits into the juvenile center.
- Performs safety inspections at night.
- Attend staff trainings.
- Perform custodial functions including building safety and security.
