Transitional Student Support Facilitator

Under the direction of Teaching and Learning, this position will promote and strengthen the partnership between families and the Moorhead Area Public Schools through outreach actions and building ongoing communication with students who are in transition with homelessness. Providing collaborative support across programs to best serve MAPS families in transition.

Responsibilities include:

• Provides outreach and support to school programs
• Provides support to families to connect them with appropriate educational services
• Provides resources and consultation to assist in meeting student needs
• Provides district-wide support to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Improvement Act

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities as appropriate are required.
• Valid MN/ND driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, education or community health.
• Experience working with homelessness and unaccompanied minors.
