Product Engineer

Product Engineer – Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company

We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to evaluate designs for manufacturability and lead new products into production.

• Development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation (instructions, routings, process specifications, tooling)
• Technical liaison between customer and EBAD during transition from proposal to production
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems, process failures, and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure production viability of new designs and obtain approvals
• Interface with production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, and shop floor supervisors
• Implement Lean methodologies such as standard work, point-of-use tooling, material presentation, and process improvements
• Develop automated test fixtures and assembly tools
• Design manufacturing cell layouts, tooling, machinery, and equipment
• Create PFMEA and perform technical compliance and risk assessment
• Develop standard work and contribute to manufacturing cell planning
• Track status and ensure completion of operations milestones and tasks for production programs

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
• Experience with multi‑part mechanisms and mechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of space vehicle mechanisms and systems
• Proficiency with CAD, 3‑D modeling, assembly creation, drawings, and GD&T
• Experience in tooling and fixture design and design for manufacturing methods
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead programs and projects
• Formal problem‑analysis and resolution experience
• Project management skills with documentation, planning, and execution capabilities
• Experience working with aerospace products and processes
• Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project

Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 per year, based on education, experience, skills, and market data.
