Electro-Mechanical Assembler (Solderer) – Moorpark, CA. Reporting to a Production Supervisor, this role involves assembling complex sub-assemblies and finished products using hand and automatic shop tools. The position requires hands-on electro-mechanical assembly experience, soldering qualification, and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities- Work as a team member to complete required work for each cell.
- Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures, including the Quality Management System.
- Follow all written instructions, work instructions, travelers and procedures when producing hardware.
- Comply with environmental health and safety guidelines and posted safety policies.
- Fill out production records, travelers and logs as work is completed.
- Log and record material traceability information on travelers.
- Stamp and date operations as complete only when all quality requirements are satisfied.
- Maintain a positive attitude and seek continuous improvement and learning opportunities.
- Assemble multiple components into complex sub-assemblies or finished products using hand and automatic shop tools.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing hands-on electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Certified soldering skills per J-STD/NASA.
- Experience with small, detailed assemblies and use of a microscope.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring tools.
- Ability to perform mechanical/electrical testing on products.
- Previous experience working in Class 100,000 and Class 10,000 cleanroom environments (a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all managerial levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pay range: $26 - $30 per hour. Pay determined by education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, internal equity and market data.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentAppropriate safety equipment as required. Exposure to noise that may require hearing protection. Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, coordinating, talking and hearing.
