Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) seeks a Quality Control Technician to work at our Moorpark, CA facility. The role involves verifying products and certification packages against requirements, inspecting components and assemblies, and maintaining accurate inspection records while ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

• Provide effective verification of products and certification packages against requirements and communicate findings associated with the verification.
• Perform inspection of components and assemblies as part of receiving inspection.
• Maintain accurate, neat, and complete inspection records.
• Keep work area organized and clean, and follow all established safety guidelines.
• Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals.
• Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.

• Graduated from high school or equivalent GED.
• 5+ years of experience inspecting mechanical components in an aerospace or defense–related company.
• Capable of utilizing standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM, and optical systems.
• Able to program a CMM; operation and programming of a Mitutoyo Vision CMM with QV Pak Software is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T).
• Ability to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
• Proficient in English.
• Effective communication and interaction with all levels of management.
• High attention to detail.
• Basic PC fundamentals and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ.
• CQE/CQM Certification program is a plus.
• Significant experience working directly with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $80,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
