We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Inventory Clerk to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team.
In this role, you will receive, store, track, package, and ship materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations.
MGI serves aerospace and defense customers and operates in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires accuracy, organization, and a commitment to following established quality and safety procedures.
Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing is preferred. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, AS9100, or ITAR requirements is a plus. However, we are willing to train a dependable candidate with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Schedule- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Level I: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour DOE
- Level II: $24.50 - $29.00 per hour DOE

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments
- Store materials and maintain accurate inventory locations
- Enter inventory transactions and maintain records in the MRP system
- Package, label, and prepare customer shipments
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records
- Assist with cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Pull, deliver, and issue materials to production
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)
- Follow company quality, safety, and shipping procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, and Shipping teams
- Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation
- Support export and ITAR compliance requirements
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Train and support new team members
Coordinate shipping priorities and daily workflow - Serve as a resource for less experienced employees
- Assist with process improvements and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defense, military, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
- Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, government, or military shipping requirements is helpful but not required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to count accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifting using assistance
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
