OverviewAssistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty – Nursing Program, NURS 313 Informatics / AI Lecture. The role involves teaching one of the five content areas approved by the Board of Registered Nursing and contributing to the integration of role-driven practice across all instructional activities.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management of assigned instructional work and content.
- Ensure all program policies, accreditation standards, and the California Nurse Practice Act Standards are followed.
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate courses that foster student success through evidence‑based teaching methods.
- Collaborate with faculty and leaders to maintain high-quality curriculum and meet student competency outcomes.
- Ensure role clarity is integrated into faculty training, curriculum development, teaching, and policy creation.
- Act as a leader/decision‑maker, practitioner, scientist, and knowledge transferor within the Nursing Program.
- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Approval from the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
- Three years of continuous direct patient care experience within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated record of successful undergraduate teaching in a specialty area.
- Experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
