Saint Mary’s College of California invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach the Nursing Assessment Lab (NURS 303L). The role requires approval by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas and involves instruction across two clinical sections. The faculty member will lead, coordinate, and design activities that foster student success using evidence‑based practice and the Professional Role model, ensuring all program policies, accreditation standards, and the California Nurse Practice Act are maintained.
The position is an adjunct per‑course assignment. Responsibilities include program leadership, curriculum development, teaching, evaluation of student competencies, and participation in policy creation.
SalaryThe salary range is $46.55—$64.43 per hour and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021. For the agreement details, see https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three years’ experience.
- Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Three years of continuous direct patient care experience within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific specialty experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
