DescriptionAssistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Program, NURS 310L at USC Verdugo Hills Med/Surg I Clinical. Assignments as per course, Instructional Work. Teach one of the five content areas approved by Board of Registered Nursing.
ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and coordination of instructional work, ensuring student success via supportive teaching methods. Ensure evidence‑based practice and professional roles incorporated. Collaborate with leaders and faculty to develop and assure quality of the course and evaluate student competencies. Manage two clinical sections. Ensure faculty responsibilities comply with accreditation standards and California Nurse Practice Act. Report to Assigned Academic director.
QualificationsAll work performed in State of California.
Salary Range$46.55 – $64.43 per hour; covered by Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU Local 1021.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years experience.
- Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Three years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience in using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific experience in an area of specialty.
- Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
