ResponsibilitiesThe Faculty member is accountable for the leadership and management of the instructional work and content assigned. The individual ensures all related program policies are followed, adheres to accreditation standards and the California Nurse Practice Act standards, and maintains curricular and program requirements in accordance with national accreditation standards. The faculty member provides leadership and coordination to design activities that foster student success with supportive teaching methods.
They ensure evidence‑based practice and professional roles are incorporated in meeting patient care needs and student learning outcomes, and collaborate with leaders and other faculty to develop and ensure the quality of the course that supports the evaluation of student competencies. This position involves teaching across two clinical sections.

QualificationsNursing seeks adjunct faculty members for instructional work. The position requires on‑campus availability, with potential for growth in future terms. All work must be performed in the State of California.
Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is $46.55 – $64.43 per hour and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Three years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience in using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific experience in an area of specialty.
- Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
