Fall 2026 NURS 301 Section 1 Pathophysiology Lecture (3 units), Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Program
Location: Moraga, CA
Open Date:
Saint Mary's College of California invites applications for Adjunct Faculty (per-course) to be assigned instructional work in the Nursing program. The role requires approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and coordination of instructional work for NURS 301 Pathophysiology, ensuring activities foster student success and incorporate evidence‑based practice.
- Manage and deliver lectures across two clinical sections, aligning with program policies and accreditation standards.
- Develop and maintain course content, integrating role clarity and professional responsibilities.
- Collaborate with academic directors and colleagues to evaluate student competencies and improve course quality.
- Adhere to all accreditation requirements and regulatory standards, including the California Nurse Practice Act.
- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three years of experience.
- Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California.
- Three years of continuous direct patient care experience within the past five years.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience using computer technologies for teaching and learning.
- Doctoral degree.
- Demonstrated record of undergraduate teaching with specialty experience.
- Experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
Salary range: $46.55 - $64.43 per hour, covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU Local 1021.
