Description: Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty teaching NURS 304L Fundamentals (Adult Health) Clinical in the Nursing program at Saint Mary's College of California. The faculty member will teach across two clinical sections and provide instructional leadership, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and the California Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coordination to design and deliver instructional work that fosters student success with supportive teaching methods.
  • Ensure evidence‑based practice and professional roles are incorporated in meeting patient‑care needs and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate the quality of the course to support evaluation of student competencies.
  • Ensure all related program policies and accreditation standards are followed and maintain curricular and program requirements in accordance with national accreditation standards and institutional procedures.
  • Collaborate with academic directors and other faculty to promote role-driven practice and professional development.

Salary Range: $46.55 - $64.43 per hour, covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Saint Mary's College and SEIU Local 1021.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
  • Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
  • Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Three years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
  • Experience using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree.
  • Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific experience in an area of specialty.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
