Position Summary
Reporting to the Nursing Assistant Director, this position utilizes the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills to coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift. Assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served and assesses staff needs for the unit. Collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nursing Assistant Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patient needs are met.

San Ramon Regional Medical Center is a 123‑bed acute care hospital known for providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care. The hospital offers award‑winning heart care programs, joint and spine surgery programs—including advanced minimally‑invasive surgical treatments, a Level II Special Care Nursery, and robotic surgery.
Minimum EducationBachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Experience / SkillsMinimum of three (3) years of full‑time recent experience or its equivalent as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital ED Department, with one (1) year in the capacity of a Charge Nurse or Head Nurse or other supervisory/leadership role.
Licenses, Certificates, CredentialsMust possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment:
- Current California RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ENPC Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current CPI card - Nonviolent Crises Intervention Training
- CEN certification preferred
