Fall 2026 NURS 320L Med/Surg II Clinical (4 Units, Multiple Sections)

Position: Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty, Nursing Program

Location: Moraga, CA

Term Dates: TBD (Day and time assignments to be determined)

Salary Range: $46.55 - $64.43 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Teach and coordinate clinical sections across two clinical classes of NURS 320L Med/Surg II Clinical.
• Develop, deliver, and assess instructional materials in alignment with state nursing standards and College policies.
• Apply Maria O'Rourke’s Professional Role model and evidence‑based practice in all teaching and curricular design.
• Ensure compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act, national accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
• Act as course instructor and instructor leader, ensuring quality of course and student competencies.
• Collaborate with academic leadership, faculty, and support staff to improve course quality and student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing or a BSN with at least three years of professional experience.
• Approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the available content areas.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California.
• At least three continuous years of direct patient‑care experience in the last five years.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Experience with computer technology for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field.
• Record of successful undergraduate teaching in a specialty area.
• Experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or nursing programs.
