Nurse Educator
Position Title
Adjunct Faculty (Nursing) – Nursing Assessment Lab (Multiple Sections Available)
ResponsibilitiesThe faculty member is accountable for the leadership and management of the instructional work and content performed as assigned, ensuring adherence to program policies, accreditation standards, and the California Nurse Practice Act Standards. The faculty member will provide leadership and coordination to foster student success with supportive teaching methods, integrating evidence‑based practice and professional roles into patient care needs and student learning outcomes.
The faculty will collaborate with leaders and other faculty to develop and ensure the quality of the course that supports the evaluation of student competencies. This position includes teaching across two clinical sections.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or BSN with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Approved by the Board of Registered Nursing to teach one of the five content areas.
- Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Three years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last five years.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Experience in using computers and other technologies for teaching and learning.
- Preferred:
Demonstrated record of teaching successfully at the undergraduate level with specific experience in an area of specialty. - Preferred:
Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and evaluating curriculum or programs.
The salary range for this position is $46.55 – $64.43 per hour and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021.
