Communications & IT Support Specialist

NC State University is hiring a Communications & IT Support Specialist. This role manages digital communications, ensures accessibility compliance, maintains the CMAST website, supports event communications, and provides frontline IT desktop support to faculty, staff, and students. The specialist collaborates with various university departments to promote CMAST research and academic programs while coordinating IT and communication priorities.

• Develop and manage digital communications including social media, branding, videography, and writing.
• Ensure all communications comply with federal accessibility guidelines.
• Provide frontline desktop IT support including Eduroam connectivity, software installation, printer setup, malware troubleshooting, and coordination with OIT.
• Maintain CMAST website and support event communication and logistical coordination.
• Collaborate with communications and development staff from CALS, CVM, COS, ORI, and university partners for strategic promotion.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
• Preferred experience includes managing social media, creating accessible digital content, IT support troubleshooting, and project management skills.
• Anticipated salary range is $50,000 - $58,000.
• Works with faculty, staff, and students at the Center for Marine Science & Technology (CMAST).
• Position is full-time, 12-month recurring appointment with Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule.
