Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing processes, care planning, and clinical assessment.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Skilled in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and complex clinical interventions.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising CNAs and other support staff.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities, including standards established by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives, infection control programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care, advocacy, and maintaining resident dignity and safety.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
