Job Title
Job Relationships:
Responsible to Director of Radiation Oncology.
Definition of Position: A registered nurse who functions in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology Team and is responsible for patient care, teaching, counseling and supportive functions to assist the patient and family to cope with and adjust to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
QualificationsProfessional Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current license to practice as an RN in North Carolina
Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
Two years of general medical/surgical nursing experience
One year of oncology nursing experience
This position is cross-trained between Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology and will be utilized in both areas.
