The department of Foundational & Graduate Studies in Education at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor, Education. The anticipated start date is August 10, 2026. Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is instruction in the assigned discipline or related field. Additional duties include advising students and participation in service opportunities. Engaging in scholarly activity (research, artistic activity and professional development) is expected.

Requirements:
Doctorate in counseling. Experience in developing and delivering effective online courses. Ability to contribute to a collegial environment. Knowledge of current national counselor training standards (CACREP and ASCA). Position degree requirement of PhD or EdD.

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant record of university teaching, scholarly productivity, and service. Grant writing experience. Sponsorship:

Organizational Relationships: A Visiting Assistant Professor reports to a department chair.

Physical Requirements:

Working Conditions
- Visiting Assistant Professor will teach in a typical classroom environment or an internet based environment. Travel to a Regional Campus or off-site location may be required.
