• The Courier is responsible for the transportation of items to and from hospital departments and off-site offices and facilities.
• Delivers mail, supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, laboratory specimens, and x-rays to and from hospital departments, St. Claire Medical Group Clinic, home health offices, off site billing office, Outpatient Center, and Counseling Office.
• Routinely makes deliveries to and pick-ups from other sites (e.g. private physician offices, nursing homes, health departments, etc.).
• Drives approximately 200 miles per day.
• Hauls bio-hazardous containers and materials, using proper precautions.
• Maintains accurate logs for laboratory specimens, x-rays, and pharmaceuticals.
• Transports time sensitive patient care materials.
• Transports numerous temperature controlled lab specimens and pharmaceutical supplies on a daily basis.
• Schedules and coordinates all courier vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Performs other courier-related duties as directed by supervisor.

• Basic ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions required.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

One to two years of related experience preferred.

• Valid Kentucky Driver’s License required.
• Current/active automobile insurance policy required.
• Safe driving record required.
