Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $21.00 – $24.60 per hour. Additional compensation includes annual and quarterly performance rewards and premiums that may be paid in amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed and may stack if criteria are met.
Job SummaryProvide assistant clerical support to the Distribution Center (DC) departments, serving as a backup to the immediate supervisor and helping the DC manager maintain efficient operation.
Essential Job Functions- Input daily shipments received and ensure accuracy of data entry.
- Log and assign batch numbers to incoming shipments.
- Maintain the UPS/RPS log book, audit entries, and correct errors.
- Make bin location changes as required.
- Assist the receiving department in scheduling and coordinating inbound freight.
- Maintain the reserve location system.
- Support the returns department with clerical duties: keypunch store credits, issue customer credits, and maintain core, warranty, and rebox tallies.
- Check and correct credit edit reports, clear and file pick tickets, record zeroed items, and call stores accordingly.
- Research picker accuracy and handle key over/short reports and productivity forms.
- Initiate and distribute daily reports via the computer system.
- Answer phones, greet visitors, distribute messages and interoffice mail.
- Make copies, order, and maintain office supplies.
- Assist in producing weekly FYI publications.
- Serve as a backup for the immediate supervisor, taking on various tasks to support DC operations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Proficiency in ten‑key data entry and mid‑range computer systems.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
- Proficiency in PC basic programs for word processing and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in AS400 programs and system operations.
- 2+ years’ experience in automotive industry or warehouse operations.
- Previous clerical experience.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
