Diagnostic Radiologist - RUHS

Overview

The radiology department at Riverside University Health System (RUHS) has an opening for a diagnostic radiologist. This position is available within the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Radiology affiliation with Riverside University Health System. Located in the heart of Southern California in the Inland Empire, the hospital is halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. The area offers access to beaches, desert camping, skiing, and cultural events, with convenient proximity to multiple airports.

• Provide a mix of imaging studies; mammography is optional.
• Participate in radiology resident teaching and quarterly lectures to family and internal medicine residents.
• Engage in ongoing quality improvement and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to the department which is expanding to meet patient needs, with over 200,000 imaging examinations per year and ongoing installation of new equipment.
• Provide a portion of the full-time base of 13 weeks of call coverage for fluoroscopic studies, weekend film reading from home, and a share of holiday coverage with the team.
• Currently cover 1–2 shifts per week from home (hours 7:00–16:00 or 11:00–20:00) with the remainder on site (8:00–17:00). There is no scheduled work after 20:00 or before 07:00. Backup coverage is available as required.

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $500,000 – $550,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
