Position: Client Services Technician (Night Shift)

About the Role

Under direct supervision, the Client Services Technician will identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems encountered by distribution center users of various servers, mainframe desktop systems, the distribution center network, and other computer technology. This individual will provide technical support to end‑users regarding computer hardware and software, install configured network equipment, and provide technical expertise on optimal software, hardware, and network setup.

Essential Functions
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, and network‑related problems encountered by end‑users of the distribution center, the internet, the mainframe, PCs, laptops, and new computer technology.
  • Configures and installs Windows workstations and other computer equipment used in the Skechers Distribution Center.
  • Performs primary network system administration on network servers as needed.
  • Installs, certifies, and troubleshoots Skechers Distribution Center network cabling infrastructure, including a wide variety of local area network equipment and software such as hubs, wireless access points, switches, wireless adapters, servers, laptops, desktops, label printers, and cell phones.
  • Uses an established tracking system to log requests, monitors progress, tracks problem resolution, identifies patterns of failure, researches bug fixes, and implements solutions; communicates with the manager regarding unresolved problems.
  • Works with programmers to solve mainframe application problems to meet end‑user computing needs.
  • Optimizes computer usage by researching and recommending enhancements to system capabilities and performance.
  • Enforces the Skechers network security and installation procedures.
  • Works with vendors on problem resolutions, repairs, or replacements of hardware/software under warranty or maintenance contracts.
  • Provides support for and troubleshoots multimedia devices such as TVs, satellite boxes, projectors, PA systems.
  • Provides support for and troubleshoots peripheral devices including local/network printers, wired and wireless handheld RF scanners, and document scanners.
Additional Skills
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot a wide range of complex technical computer and network‑related problems effectively.
  • Listen and communicate information to a wide variety of clients at all skill levels.
  • Deliver user support both in‑person and over the phone in a professional manner.
  • Support the Distribution Center’s objectives by training others in the use of computers and applications.
  • Learn and apply new technical knowledge quickly.
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse user base both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Maintain cooperative work relationships.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.
Requirements
  • Education in a technology field preferred.
  • 3–4 years of experience providing technical desktop and network support in a large, multi‑platform, multi‑operating‑systems environment.
Compensation and Work Schedule

Hourly pay: $26.00–$27.00.

Work schedule:

Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
