Registered Nurse III - MC​/CHC - Per Diem - MSC Recovery - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit; PACU

The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center located in Moreno Valley, is currently recruiting for an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse III - MC/CHC for the MSC Recovery - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

The RN is responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical and procedural population.

Under supervision, the incumbent will care for pre and post-op patients; perform professional nursing duties in the care and services to patients and their families at the Riverside University Health System-Medical Center (RUHS-MC), Community Health Clinics (CHC) or other RUHS locations as assigned, assist physicians and carry out their orders, coordinate a continuum of care for a selected group of patients from pre-admission through post-discharge, and other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of critical care experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an ICU or Emergency Department setting. PACU experience is highly desirable, and bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

• A current and valid Registered Nurse license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
• A current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• A current and valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• A current and valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• A current and valid National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification issued by the American Heart Association, Blue Cloud-National Stroke Association, or Apex.
• A current and valid Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
• A current and valid Pediatric Care Advanced Resuscitation (PCAR) certification or the ability to obtain certification within twelve (12) months of hire.

Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled based on departmental needs. Start times may vary between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., with end times typically ranging from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Flexibility in availability is strongly preferred to accommodate varying department needs.

• Critical Care - $4.00 per hour

Critical Care differentials will be applied following completion of required specialty training, attainment of all necessary certifications, and departmental determination that the employee is authorized to work independently.
