ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Maintenance Technician III will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex automated warehouse and distribution systems. This role requires extensive technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with particular emphasis on high-speed sortation equipment, conveyor systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems. The Technician III will demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on sophisticated industrial equipment while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Pay Range: $26.58 - $39.23
Work Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday / 6am to 2:30pm

* Duties and Responsibilities Identify, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical failures, including error/fault codes on industrial equipment
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to the Input/Output level, including processor fault identification
Service and repair Motor Control Panels, including motor starters, overloads, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and fuses
Install, troubleshooting, and repair sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, encoders, bar code readers, dimensions, and Variable Frequency Drives Install, wire, and repair dual voltage (480
VAC/208
VAC) 3-phase motors with brakes and speed reducers
Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems including compressors, valves, actuators, cylinders, and vacuum components
Service hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and associated components
Perform fabrication work including cutting, drilling, and welding while following hot work safety procedures
Troubleshoot and repair multiple conveyor systems (belted, roller, MDR, powered curve, spiral) and high-speed sortation equipment (sliding shoe, cross-belt, pocket sorters, tilt trays)
Navigate Warehouse Control Systems and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for system diagnostics and control
Troubleshoot servo motor controls, in-motion scales, Print and Apply systems, and Automatic Storage Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
Work safely with electrical systems (12
VDC to 600
VAC) following NFPA 70E standards using multimeter and diagnostic equipment
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repair applications
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.
Technical
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated material handling equipment.
Safety:
Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.
Tools:
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
Hot work permit certification
Experience with Warehouse Control Systems and HMI interfaces
Background in automated distribution or warehouse operations
Certification in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
Ability to work at variable heights using proper PPECapability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)
Manual dexterity for precision work
Fast-paced environment requiring quick problem resolution
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills across all organization levels
Service-oriented mindset with focus on minimizing downtime
