Maintenance Operative Multi Skilled

An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland Area for our client. For the role of Maintenance Operative (Multi Skill) for the Repairs and Maintenance Section. The role will involve working in domestic and commercial buildings carrying out a range of technical and non-technical trade activities to deliver capital works and disabled adaptations to commercial and domestic properties. Working alongside colleagues within the Property Services Team you will ensure that work is delivered to a high standard and meet our quality and performance expectations.

The post holder will be working as part of our repairs and maintenance department carrying out a variety of tasks to support business needs whilst being able to undertake joinery, basic plumbing, ceramic tiling, plastering and decoration works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard, providing an excellent customer service and ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.

This role plays a key part in driving this ambition forward. To succeed in this role applicants must have a relevant trade qualification and experience in multi skilled activities with experience of working within a busy operational repairs and maintenance department an advantage.

A full driving license will be required to carry out this role, and a works vehicle will be allocated to all successful candidates upon appointment. The proposed hours of the role are 37 hours per week across 5 days Monday to Friday with flexible working
