HSE Technician; Nights

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures Corporate Compliance with all HSE policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced. Coach and assist all operations personnel for any noncompliance. Elevate any continued noncompliance with the HSE Specialist and operations management.
• Interface with the employees; everyone is to be treated with respect and in a professional manner.
• Integrity must always be a consideration when handling employee personnel issues.
• Increases HSE awareness and Goal Zero at all levels of the organization.
• Maintain and oversee all aspects of the Safety program, including but not limited to:
• • Logging of all reported incidents
  • Lead weekly safety meetings and daily JSA meetings with supervisors and employees.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections.
  • Observe work practices and task setups to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Administer first aid when required.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis to include corrective actions.
  • Be proactive and recommend improvements on an as needed and recognized basis.
  • Share and apply lessons learned across Conrad Operations.
• Conduct and support facility inspections on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies, including hazardous waste area and containment inspections, confined space entry inspections as needed, scheduled inspections of facility manifolds, fire extinguishers, electrical panel labels, eyewash stations, and emergency showers, scheduled inspections of equipment in use for appropriate inspection tags and good working condition, spot inspections of moving equipment inspection sheets to ensure they are completed, and ensure paint crews secure work in progress paint skids are stored appropriately.
• Support and assist environmental compliance as needed.
• Support and assist other Conrad Facilities as needed.
• Cover on-call weekends as required.
• Share and apply safety alerts/lessons learned.
• Meet annual performance goals.
• Continually work on professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret statutory requirements. Must be able to professionally respond to inquiries or complaints from employees or members of Conrad primary business community.
• Ability to identify and eliminate hazards.
• Must be a team player willing to listen and discuss alternatives and support the principles of Conrad Industries.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑accountability.

• Typically, 9 hrs. a night and 5 days per week.
• Work alone.
• Prolonged periods of walking/standing.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Work in an outdoor and shop environment.
• Work outside in varying temperature and weather conditions.
• Prolonged hours of wearing PPE (steel‑toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses).

High School or better.

• 1‑3 years:
  Safety management experience in the marine industry preferred.
