Position Overview

RN-Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical) – Night Shift (12 hours/day, 3 days/week). Compensation: $1,246 weekly stipends, $540–$612 weekly base pay (hourly rate $15–$17).

Contract:

13 weeks, onsite, starting 8/10/2026.

Location:

St. Mary Hospital, 1125 Marguerite St., Morgan City, LA 70380.

• Administer patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice.
• Effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members; lead interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain quality patient outcomes, exhibit cultural sensitivity, and uphold professional accountability.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and disciplines.
• Use data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Promote customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws, accreditation standards, and employer compliance program.

• Registered Nursing (RN) diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current CPI certification (valid 12 months).

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Certification in a clinical specialty area.

• Proficiency in computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication; presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Heavy work: occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds; frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds; constant lifting of 10–20 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. Occupational risk for communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
