Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting team, acting as a right-hand partner to the Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for owning complex general ledger activities, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring accuracy across key balance sheet accounts. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented professional with strong technical accounting expertise and a collaborative, team‑first mindset.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform full‑cycle general ledger accounting
, including complex account reconciliations across multiple balance sheet accountsOwn and manage high‑volume prepaid accounts
, including reconciliation, discrepancy analysis, and preparation of amortization schedulesReconcile and manage credit card accounts
, ensuring alignment between GL and statementsAnalyze and resolve discrepancies within Receive Goods Not Invoiced (RGNI) and other accrual‑related accounts; propose and implement corrective accounting treatments
Prepare and post monthly journal entries and actively support month‑end close (approx. 5‑day close cycle)
Support compliance with sales and use tax regulations
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and assist across accounting functions as needed
Partner closely with the Accounting Manager to improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
Mentor and guide junior team members (AP, AR, and GL staff), serving as a go‑to resource for accounting questions and process clarity
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (strong preference for senior‑level experience)
Strong expertise in general ledger accounting and reconciliations
Experience with
prepaids, accruals, and complex balance sheet accountsKnowledge of sales and use tax
Experience working in manufacturing environments strongly preferred (inventory, purchase price variance, etc.)
Familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 preferred)
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $ per year
