Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Analyze blueprints, plans, and project documentation to develop accurate time and cost estimates
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies
• Track and evaluate project costs throughout the bidding and execution phases
• Partner with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on scope changes and cost adjustments
• Present estimates to support management in budgeting and project planning
• Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Utilize estimating software to assess financial feasibility of projects

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role within the construction industry
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as blueprints and specifications
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams
• Familiarity with construction estimating software and tools
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

• Primarily office based work with extended periods at a computer
• Occasional site visits requiring walking, standing, or navigating uneven surfaces
• Light lifting of plans, documents, or equipment may be required
