What You Will Do
- Create and maintain a peaceful, beautifully prepared Montessori infant environment rooted in respect and responsiveness.
- Provide attentive, individualized care that supports each child's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support feeding, diapering, and sleep routines with warmth and consistency, honoring each child's natural rhythms.
- Observe and document developmental milestones, guiding each infant's growth with patience and intention.
- Foster early independence through purposeful materials and thoughtful guidance.
- Build strong, trusting partnerships with families through open and respectful communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to cultivate a cohesive and supportive school community.
- Establish a classroom culture grounded in security, attachment, and joyful discovery.
- 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required (Infant/Toddler units preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 2 years
- Experience leading a classroom and mentoring assistants preferred
- Montessori training (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) or a strong desire to deepen understanding of the Montessori infant philosophy
- Comfortable supporting feeding, diapering, and sleep routines with attentiveness and care
- Warm, collaborative, and highly organized teaching style
- Commitment to respect, inclusivity, consistency, and responsive caregiving
