Essential
Qualifications:
- Valid and current CTC Certification for Special Education (Mild/Moderate)
- Proven experience or strong passion for working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with high school students
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Ability to design, implement, and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Up-to-date knowledge of special education best practices and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction tailored to student IEPs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Track and report student progress, maintaining thorough and timely documentation
- Lead IEP meetings, communicating effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Create engaging, accessible learning experiences that empower students and build confidence
- Serve as a resource for staff and parents regarding instructional strategies and student needs
