Finance Manager
Job Purpose:
Manage dealership finance and insurance operations while assisting customers with financing, vehicle protection products, and required sales documentation. The Finance Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance with dealership and legal requirements, maximizing dealership profitability, and supporting overall dealership sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Insurance Operations Present financing options, extended service contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, and other finance and insurance products to customers
Structure, submit, and finalize finance deals with lending institutions and finance sources
Obtain lender approvals and ensure accurate completion of all financing documentation
Prepare, review, and finalize contracts, title documents, lender paperwork, and related sales documentation
Verify accuracy of taxes, title information, registration documentation, and deal structure
Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and timely in accordance with dealership, lender, manufacturer, and legal requirements
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and lender regulations related to finance and insurance transactions
Maintain strong relationships with finance sources, lenders, manufacturer representatives, and vendor partners
Assist with inventory protection products, aftermarket products, and dealership profitability initiatives
Customer Service & Sales Support Deliver exceptional customer service during all customer interactions
Clearly explain financing terms, contracts, products, and available options to customers
Handle customer concerns and questions professionally and courteously
Support customer satisfaction and customer retention efforts through professional communication and relationship-building
Work collaboratively with the Sales Department to support vehicle sales and dealership operations
Assist Sales Consultants and Sales Managers throughout the sales and delivery process as needed
Support delivery processes that create positive customer experiences and dealership loyalty
Promote dealership products, services, and protection programs while maintaining ethical sales practices
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities Maintain accurate records, reports, and finance documentation
Utilize dealership management systems (DMS), CRM systems, finance software, and lender portals effectively
Review and analyze department performance, profitability, and operational effectiveness
Attend dealership meetings, training sessions, and manufacturer or lender training as required
Follow dealership policies, procedures, operational standards, and confidentiality requirements
Maintain professional working relationships with customers, lenders, vendors, coworkers, and management
Uphold confidentiality regarding customer, employee, financial, and dealership information
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Job Qualifications:
Required Qualifications Previous automotive finance manager or automotive sales management experience required
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling financial documentation
Basic computer proficiency required
Ability to learn and utilize dealership management systems (DMS), CRM systems, lender software, and finance platforms
Knowledge of finance, insurance, compliance, and dealership sales processes required
Dependable attendance and punctuality required
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer, employee, financial, and dealership information
Ability to follow dealership policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications Previous Ford dealership experience preferred
Previous automotive F&I product sales experience preferred
Experience working with multiple lenders and finance sources preferred
Knowledge of federal, state, and local automotive finance compliance requirements preferred
Experience using dealership management systems (DMS), CRM systems, and finance software preferred
Strong track record of finance product sales and customer satisfaction preferred
Experience analyzing financial performance, deal structure, and profitability metrics preferred
Bilingual communication skills are a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for computer and finance-related functions
Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
