Material Handler

Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composites materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.

Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex®, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, PC/ABS, HDPE, and PP.

Under the supervision of the lead and supervisor, the Material Handler will process shipment request in a timely manner. This role will pull and package composite materials per shipping order requests. This person will prepare shipment documents by working closely with the logistic coordinate to ensure trucks or documents is ready. Additionally, this role is responsible for the shipment documents which includes bill of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of analysis.

Lastly, this role is responsible for ensuring that the inventory/material in properly loaded on the trucks and meet the deadlines set in place by the organization. Please note roles and responsibilities are subject to change with or without advanced notice.

• Process shipping request in a timely manner, which includes pulling and packing of materials per shipping order documentation
• Print and prepare shipping documentation, which includes bill of lading, commercial invoices and certificates of analysis
• Unload incoming inventory/materials from trucks and move to proper locations
• Load outbound trucks as required
• Ensure safety and housekeeping
• Assist warehouse and shipping personnel with day-to-day activities as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor, Lead or designee

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse/shipping environment, previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Must be familiar with computer systems including MS Office and data base systems (File Maker Pro preferred)
• Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and fork lift
• Maintain work areas in neat, orderly and safe manner
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

SALARY RANGE: $22.00 - $27.00/hour, DOE.
