ICC Special Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated ICC Special Inspector to join our Professional Services Industries (PSI) team in Morgan Hill, California. This is an excellent opportunity to grow a versatile career within the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.

The ICC Special Inspector is responsible for performing a variety of field testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision.

• Base Salary: $30 - $50/hr (Commensurate with skill set, experience, and certifications).

• Operate, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment.
• Conduct soil and concrete testing and provide data assessments through detailed reporting.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Observe site activities using specific methodologies to ensure compliance.
• Document and interpret test results, maintaining meticulous project records.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams, including attending project meetings.

• Experience: 2+ years of related inspection experience.
• Certification: Valid ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record.
• Flexibility: Ability to work off-shifts and overtime as needed.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (and occasionally more with assistance); ability to kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods.
• Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at various heights.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Additional ICC certifications in Post-Tensioned Concrete
