Material Handler - Warehouse

Responsibilities

• Drives fork truck carefully and safely; reports all incidentsimmediatelyto the Shift Supervisor or Superintendent.
• Unloads, strips, and cleans empty material handling racks, and removes box ends as they arrive from VEKA’s customers.
• Records empty rack numbers and MRA material on rack receipts.
• Deliversemptymaterial handling racks to the production floorandmoves material handling racks with VEKA products to theback lot.
• Responsible for loading material handling racks withscrapmaterialand customer cut-off boxes onto trailers for recycling.
• Responsible for moving products and other objects as required by job assignment to various locations.
• Inspects condition of material handling racks andtakes broken racks to maintenance for repair.
• Weighs customer cutoffs and production scrap.
• Maintainsaccurateclerical records.
• Ability to work rotating
  12-hour shifts.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Certified fork truck operator license
• Dependability, accountability, and responsiveness are essential.
• Ability to work independently and with accuracy.
• Ability tomaintaina positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
• Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
• Flexibility in job responsibilities and assignments
