• Work in a specialized Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Unit includes 16 LDRP rooms, a C-section Suite and PACU, and a 4-bed Special Care Nursery
• Closed specialty unit — nurses are not expected to float outside of the Family Center
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Floating may be required within the hospital
• The unit is actively growing and adding specialized support staff including a preadmit nurse, discharge planner, maternity navigator, unit educator, and lactation consultant
• The unit is engaged in ongoing quality and process improvement initiatives in partnership with the State of NC and other hospitals nationwide, including programs focused on neonatal withdrawal, prenatal screening, safe sleep, mental health, and obstetrical sepsis care
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Former staff must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
• Any requested time off must be disclosed on the application and approved prior to confirmation

• Active NC RN license (or compact license with NC authorization) required prior to consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• L&D and mother/baby nursing experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and SSN card required for consideration
• Candidates with a DUI or DWI within the past year will not be considered; all other background hits reviewed on a case-by-case basis
