Job Summary

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Transylvania Regional Hospital. The role involves caring for patients transitioning from intensive care, helping them regain strength, preventing complications, and supporting recovery.

• Providing hands‑on care for patients with complex needs, including medication administration, assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), tube and drain management, and advanced monitoring.
• Monitoring vital signs and neurological status, promptly notifying the team of changes to enable early treatment.
• Maintaining clear and timely documentation to support coordinated patient care.
• Educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and recovery steps.
• Collaborating closely with registered nurses, physicians, and specialists to stabilize patients and facilitate progress from intensive care.

• Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) credential.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Graduation from a licensed vocational or nursing school.
