Accountant, Financial Reporting, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

United Talent Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant for an immediate opening in Morgantown, WV. This position is responsible for managing financial records, payroll, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting for a local municipality.

• Maintain financial records, ledgers, and accounting reports
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Process payroll and related reporting
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchase orders
• Assist with annual budget preparation and budget meetings
• Prepare 1099s, Workers' Compensation, unemployment, and other required reports
• Monitor certificates of deposit, account balances, and depreciation schedules
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations

• Competitive salary

• Associate Degree (2-year) or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience required
• Municipal or government accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Quick Books required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
