Construction Accountant

, is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join their team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with experience in job costing, project accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
.

• Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger transactions.
• Perform construction job costing
  , track project budgets, and monitor project profitability.
• Prepare progress billings, change orders, and retainage calculations
  .
• Reconcile accounts and prepare accurate financial statements and reports
  .
• Assist with financial audits, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of construction project finances.
• Support tax filings and maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Monitor project costs and help identify budget variances and potential financial issues.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  , preferably within the construction industry or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• CPA designation is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, project billing, and financial reporting
  .
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or Quick Books Contractor is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and financial priorities.
