About The Role

Tas Networks is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support the North West Transmission Developments (NWTD) by leading the planning, scheduling and performance management activities that keep this major project on track. In this role, you will be the project’s subject matter expert for schedule development, progress measurement and reporting, schedule assurance, earned value management and integrated project controls.

You will work closely with Project Controls, Commercial, Contracts, Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams, as well as the EPC contractor, to develop and maintain the project’s integrated master schedule and provide assurance over contractor schedules. Your work will provide the insights needed to support decision making, manage risks and ensure the project delivers on time, within budget and in line with approved plans.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure and analysis, while also working closely with project delivery and site teams in a fast-paced major project environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain the project’s integrated master schedule, including approved baselines, critical path analysis and forecasting.
  • Own and maintain the WBS, ensuring alignment with the CBS and other project controls structures.
  • Establish and maintain progress measurement frameworks, including rules of credit, planned and earned labour hours, S-curves and performance dashboards.
  • Lead schedule performance measurement, including SPI and variance analysis, and work with the Cost Controller on integrated EVM reporting.
  • Review, assure and challenge the EPC contractor’s schedules, including logic, critical and near critical paths, float, constraints, progress, resources and contractual milestones.
  • Perform schedule quality and integrity reviews using recognised practices, including DCMA schedule health checks.
  • Review the EPC contractor’s short term lookaheads against the accepted contractor schedule and work with the EPC contractor and project delivery and site teams to assess sequencing, access, resources and constraints.
  • Undertake frequent site visits to validate progress, understand emerging issues and reflect site information in schedule updates and forecasts.
  • Lead schedule analysis for changes, delays and extension of time assessments, including time impact analysis, contractor submission reviews, scenario analysis and mitigation or recovery planning, working closely with Contracts.
  • Jointly lead schedule risk analysis with the Risk Analyst, including reviewing schedule risks, challenging modelling parameters, assessing the EPC contractor’s analysis and undertaking SRA on the integrated master schedule.
  • Prepare and present schedule performance, forecasts, risks, delay impacts and recovery scenarios to project leadership, executives, the Board and project and contractor governance forums.
  • Collaborate across cost, risk, change and contracts to ensure their interfaces with the schedule are understood and reflected.
About You

You’re an experienced Project Scheduler with strong capability in planning, scheduling and earned value management within major infrastructure, EPC or capital works environments. You understand how scope, cost, schedule and risk interact and you’re confident interpreting technical documentation, construction methodologies, commercial frameworks and contract requirements.

You bring a structured, analytical approach to your work, combined with a practical understanding of project and site delivery. You’re comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, challenging schedule information and presenting insights to senior leaders. You thrive in complex project environments where accuracy, timeliness, governance, assurance and proactive problem solving matter.

You Will Also Bring
  • A relevant degree in engineering, construction management, project management, commerce or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 capability in developing, maintaining, analysing and assuring complex project schedules.
  • Strong CPM scheduling experience, including logic, critical and near critical paths, float, forecasting and progress measurement.
  • Practical understanding of…
