TRETSR CEI Project Supervisor

S&ME is seeking a TRET Level IV (TRETSR) to join us as a CEI Project Supervisor to support a specific project, which entails processing estimates, change orders, and materials in an AWP system.

• The CEI Project Supervisor serves as the on-site authority for construction engineering and inspection activities. This position oversees daily field operations, manages project documentation, and acts as the primary liaison between S&ME, WVDOH, contractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with WVDOH specifications and standards, as well as strong leadership skills.
• Supervise CEI inspection staff, ensuring daily construction activities align with WVDOH specifications, requirements, and expectations.
• Provide daily oversight of inspection activities, perform high-level project administration tasks and documentation, including materials certification, preparing estimates, and changing orders.
• Oversee contractor construction schedules, monitor progress, evaluate schedule revisions, delays, and time extensions.
• Identify and help resolve construction issues, conflicts, or non-conforming work.
• Ensure all work adheres to WVDOH specifications, environmental requirements, and safety regulations.

This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments. You will use Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and should be comfortable with:

• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions for the majority of the time
• Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing (potentially up to 12 hours a day)
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
• Exposure to highway traffic, heavy machinery
• Working outside of normal business hours
