West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek an Infectious Diseases physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Responsibilities- Practice in the area of adult Infectious Diseases ().
- Provide a mix of and outpatient clinical responsibilities.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in scholarly activities.
- Collaborate with APPs and other faculty.
The has 15 faculty with diverse expertise, skills, and experience. It includes dedicated APPs who work closely with and fellows. The Division is recognized for valuable contributions to education, service, and scholarship. Faculty have won teaching awards locally, regionally, nationally. Areas of expertise/focus include healthcare epidemiology, musculoskeletal infections, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B & C, antimicrobial stewardship, Transplant , telehealth, OPAT, and CoOPAT.
The Division has an active fellowship program with a 100% pass rate.
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license.
- Completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program and an Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.
- Board certified or eligible in infectious diseases, all qualifications met by time of appointment.
