Position Overview
The Department of Geology and Geography ( https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ) at West Virginia University invites applications for Part‑time Adjunct Teaching Positions. Areas of need include, may not be limited to, Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing, Data Analytics, Field Geology and Subsurface Geology.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in‑person or online courses in the Department of Geology and Geography’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
CompensationSalary is established on a per‑course basis.
QualificationsThese positions require a master’s or doctoral degree in Geology, Geography or a closely related discipline, along with evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.
